Deann Muzikar Volunteer Coordinator
unnamed-6
Deann Muzikar is the Volunteer Coordinator for the NJ Horror Con & Film Festival.
In her own words…Few can say a horror film changed my life, but that’s exactly what happened to me. The very first time I saw John Carpenters “Halloween” in the mid-80s, I was hooked. From that point forward, I watched any horror movie I could get my hands on and developed a passion for the gruesome and gory. My husband introduced me to the convention scene by taking me to the very first Chiller Theater convention in a small theater in Rutherford. Over the years, I became a regular con goer and supporter of the Horror community, but it wasn’t until 2014 that I began working the convention circuit as a member of the Walker Stalker celebrity escort team. When I heard about NJ Horror Con, I knew I had to be involved. This con is unique in that it celebrates and recognizes the  horror genre, and more importantly promotes upcoming horror film makers who are keeping the genre alive. I am so honored and proud to head up the volunteer group and be involved with a group of people who share my love of horror and the con life.Deann and her husband Anthony are founders of Dog Walk of the Dead, a zombie dog walk and Halloween party that benefits local animal shelters. They also own MetalDogz, original hard and heavy t-shirts for dogs.
